Volunteering with MAS Southampton (Malayalee Association Southampton) is a rewarding way to give back to the community while building friendships, skills, and a sense of belonging. Our volunteers are the backbone of MAS, helping us organise events, support members, and celebrate our culture together. 

Whether you are new to Southampton or have been part of the community for years, volunteering with MAS allows you to actively contribute and make a positive impact.

Volunteer Opportunities 

MAS offers a variety of volunteering roles to suit different interests and availability, including: 

• Event Management – Planning and organising cultural and social events 
• Cultural Activities – Supporting performances, festivals, and traditions 
• Youth & Family Engagement – Activities for children, youth, and families 
• Media & Communications – Social media, photography, design, and content 
• Community Support – Outreach, coordination, and member assistance 

You can volunteer occasionally or take on a more active role throughout the year.

Volunteering with MAS is open to all members of the community. No prior experience is required—just enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to help. Every contribution, big or small, is valued.
