The Malayalee Association of Southampton celebrates Onam as Kerala's vibrant harvest festival, bringing the community together for a cultural extravaganza with traditional Pookalam (flower carpets), delicious Onasadya (feast on banana leaf), folk dances, tug-of-war (Vadamvali), and cultural performances, all to honor unity, heritage, and the mythical homecoming of King Mahabali, creating a "home away from home" for Malayalees in the area.
